Southern Living® Plant Collection expands Delta Series Crapemyrtle lineup
Jewel-hued beauties Delta Breeze™, Delta Eclipse™, Delta Flame™,
and Delta Moonlight™ are versatile landscape accents

LOXLEY, Ala. (June 20, 2014) – For those who love the brilliant blooms and striking burgundy foliage of Delta Jazz™ Crapemyrtle, the Southern Living® Plant Collection is debuting four new additions to this exciting Delta™ series.

The Delta Series of Crapemyrtles are a stunning addition to any landscape, and have generated excitement in the industry since the debut of Delta Jazz™ several years ago. Delta Breeze™, Delta Eclipse™, Delta Flame™,  and Delta Moonlight™ are the latest innovations, but watch for even more new Delta debuts in early 2015, according to their breeder and inventor, Robert “Buddy” Lee.

Characterized by their unique burgundy, cupped leaves, the new Delta series Crapemyrtles bloom profusely in four colors: white (Delta Moonlight™), red (Delta Flame™) and lavender (Delta Eclipse™) and light pink (Delta Breeze™). These small trees are a welcome accent for gardens that need height and color. Growing between 6-10 foot tall, these moderate- to fast-growers are deer-resistant and thrive in full sun to partial shade.

Hardy in USDA zones 7-9, these lovely additions join the popular Delta Jazz™, which offers vivid pink showy blooms throughout the summer months.

Now is the time to make a statement with these visually striking and versatile introductions. Visit https://southernlivingplants.com to learn more.
